Is it safe to travel to Romania?

Romania is a member of the European Union, and Braşov and surrounding areas are safe for travelers. We are assessing the ever-evolving COVID-19 situation, and are on standby to release bookings, when it’s safe to do so.

Will I get a refund if there is not enough snow?

BOS has no liability over the weather conditions of the resort. The resort has artificial snow making capabilities. There are several other resorts in close vicinity, and if needed, we can adapt to a different location. You can also check the live resort webcams

How do I get here?

Flights to Romania are easily accessible, either from Europe or internationally. If you are already in Europe you may consider travelling by car or train. The Braşov International Airport is also due for completion in November 2022, and direct flights may provide additional options. 


How long should I allow for my holiday in Romania?

If you are changing time zones, we recommend arriving two days prior, so you can adjust to local time. We suggest you allow 10 nights accommodation when participating in our ski improvement programs, if travelling from Australia in order to enjoy more of the touristic attractions.

What visa do I need to travel to Romania?

Australia, New Zealand, US and UK citizens can travel to Romania without a visa for 90 days within 180 days.

What is the Non- Skier Program?

BFF allows friends and family to enjoy a snow holiday, without the pressure and commitment of having to participate in the ski or snowboard camps, or snow sports activities.

Can children come skiing?

We offer ski programs for children from first timers to advanced. Private or group ski or snowboard lessons can also be arranged. Our partners at R & J Ski School are ready to teach your kids the joy of skiing.

We will contact you to discuss any specific needs related to your booking such as: lessons, cot availability at accommodation, children’s car seats, etc.

What if I have any dietary requests?

How far do we have to travel, and by what means?

Most activities are approximately one hour away from Braşov, weather permitting. Whilst some tours will take a whole day, distances are short. You will be travelling by minibus.

Where is the accommodation?

Accommodation is in Braşov city centre, about 15 minutes drive to the resort. The minimum standard for hotel accommodation is three stars. We believe there is more to explore in town with restaurants and bars enhancing your stay.

On request we can arrange accommodation in resort at additional costs. 

How much can we change the program?

Our packages are suggestions. You can tailor the program to suit your schedule and interests. We cannot accommodate last minute changes due to the pre booked nature of the tour. 

What if I only want to ski or snowboard?

We would like to hear from you. We can assist with accommodation, transfers from the airport to Braşov , equipment hire, and in general anything that does not require detailed logistics.




Do I need to make a deposit to secure my booking?

To proceed with your booking we require a 10% deposit. The deposit is refundable under the cancellation policy.

When do I have to pay for my holiday in full?

You will be required to make full payment 30 days before arrival. We will remind when the full balance is due.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand life happens. You can cancel your trip for any reasons within 60 days (about three months) prior to your arrival date.

Cancelling 59 days or less prior to arrival, you will incur the loss of you deposit. Under exceptional circumstances (death of traveler or immediate family, change in geopolitical circumstances, pandemic, etc.) we will refund the deposit.

Cancellations at 20 days or less prior to arrival will incur cancellation fee of 50%. Under exceptional circumstances (death of traveler or immediate family, change in geopolitical circumstances, pandemic, etc.) we will charge only the deposit.


Does my deposit lock in an exchange rate?

All transactions are in AUD. If you are booking from outside Australia, the deposit will not lock in an exchange rate.

What if I want to stay longer?

You can fully customise your holiday. Let us know what you think. There is plenty of snow and interesting activities.

Who can I call if in need?

Prior to departure, you will be provided with contact details for our staff overseas that can assist you in case of emergency. Your peace of mind is important to us.

Do you offer any discounts?

In recognition of the unique conditions of military service, Boomerang on Snow is offering a 10% discount off the price of any ski and snowboard camp to all current or former members of the Australian Defence Forces and their immediate families.

Australian Government and state and territory employees are also eligible for a 5% discount off any ski and snowboard camp for themselves and their immediate family.
