Skiing in Japan is a popular choice for ski enthusiasts from around the world. The country is known for its abundant snowfall, excellent powder conditions, and a unique blend of traditional Japanese culture and modern ski resorts.
Japan is home to numerous ski resorts scattered across the country, with the most popular ones located in Hokkaido, Nagano, and Niigata prefectures. Shiga Kogen lies in Nagano Prefecture approximately 1 hour drive from Nagano Station and is situated in the heart of the Joshinetsu National Park. It has 21 resorts, 19 of which are interlinked and can all be accessed on one lift ticket. Myoko Kogen experiences approximately 15 metres of snowfall each winter and with ten different resorts within easy driving distance, Myoko Kogen has something for everyone.
